Tips for a Good Night's Sleep

Nothing is more frustrating that not being able to sleep. To spend most of the night just tossing and turning in your bed is a nightmare itself. But, there ARE things you can do! Read on and learn some tricks that will help you sleep well.
  1. If you aren't asleep within 20 minutes, get up and do something like reading a book rather than waiting to fall asleep

  2. Don't take naps

  3. Get up and go to bed the same time every day

  4. Refrain from exercise at least 4 hours before bedtime

  5. Develop sleep rituals - It is important to give your body cues that it is time to slow down and sleep. Listen to relaxing music, read something soothing for 15 minutes, have a cup of caffeine free tea, do relaxation exercises.

  6. Stay away from caffeine, nicotine and alcohol at least 4-6 hours before bed

  7. Make sure your bed and bedroom are quiet and comfortable
